According to the official announcement, players can expect new maps, modes, weapons, vehicles, themed events, tournaments, and a crossover with Dead Space. Season 5 will be the first major update after the first anniversary of Battlefield 6, which launched in October 2025.

Siege of Las Vegas (October 13)

The first phase is entirely dedicated to Las Vegas and its surroundings. Battlefield 6 is getting two new maps. Vegas Strip takes the fighting to the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, with its casinos, neon signs, and the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. The second map, Area 51, is set at the legendary secret military base in the Nevada desert, where players will battle among radar installations and military facilities.

REDSEC is also getting new content. A new Rapid Royale mode is coming to the battle royale, and a new ranked battle royale season begins. Alongside it, the REDSEC Open Series tournament will kick off, open to all players.

One of the phase’s main events will be the Battlefield x Dead Space crossover called Convergence. It will be available in both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. There are no details yet, but the teaser image suggests that Dead Space’s iconic red Marker and Necromorphs will appear in the game.

In addition, the arsenal will expand with four new weapons:

  • Z84M — LMG
  • RSPR — SMG
  • MK24 — assault rifle
  • ELR-40 — sniper rifle

Casino Heist (November 10)

The second phase continues the Las Vegas theme. Battlefield 6 is getting a new map, European Casino, where battles will take place on the grounds of a luxurious casino with pools and villas. A limited-time Casino Heist event centered around robbing a casino will also start in both games.

Players will receive the new NSW4 carbine, the ADS-17 6GHz gadget, and a new vehicle, the M142 MRAS multiple rocket launcher. In addition, following the Open Series, the REDSEC Elite Series tournament will begin for the strongest players.

Frozen Aces (December 8)

The final phase of the season has a winter theme. Battlefield 6 is getting a new mode, Operation High Roller, while the Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps will receive updates.

Platoons and a server browser will be important additions in this phase, available in both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Both features have long been part of previous games in the series, and the community has regularly asked for their return. The server browser will let players choose servers with the maps and modes they want, while platoons will help friends team up in permanent groups.

Players can also look forward to the Freezeout winter event, in which a snow-covered Las Vegas becomes the arena for new battles. The arsenal will expand again with the Mk 1 Mod 8 marksman rifle and a karambit knife for melee combat. Air forces will receive the new B-81 Cavalry aircraft. The REDSEC Elite Series tournament will continue in this phase as well.
