Hideo Kojima Reacted to P.T. Being Available on PC

The infamous P.T., the demo for Hideo Kojima’s canceled Silent Hills, unexpectedly received a fair amount of attention this week—and remains one of the most talked-about topics. The reason is that an enthusiast is working on recreating a fully playable demo for PC and has already managed to catch the attention of the original game’s creator.

As loreanxavier, the creator of the P.T. mod for PC, wrote on his X page, Hideo Kojima shared a post from GameRant, which helped more people learn about his work. In his message, the user also thanked both Kojima and the gaming website for promoting the mod, as you can check out below:

The GOAT himself acknowledged my port. I am speechless. Seeing Hideo Kojima otice something I’ve poured so much time and passion into genuinely means the world to me. Thank you so much, and huge thanks to GameRant for making this moment possible.

The P.T. port for PC became available thanks to loreanxavier’s use of C++ and Vulkan rendering alongside the game’s source data. On his YouTube channel, the user shared over 20 minutes of footage showing what the game looks like on the platform. Additionally, on his social media, loreanxavier announced the release of P.T. PC Port 1.0.0, which now supports NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 3.1/4.1, Intel XeSS, DLAA, FSR Native AA, and more.

As for Hideo Kojima, the game designer is currently collaborating with Xbox, which will publish two of his upcoming projects—the horror game OD and the spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid titled Physint. Speaking of the latter, in a recent interview, Kojima revealed quite a few details, mostly regarding the game’s cast. Additionally, the game designer also announced he will make cameo appearances in several upcoming projects, including a blockbuster movie, video games, and animated titles.
