The Blood of Dawnwalker Is Getting a Big Update in Early October

Rebel Wolves is preparing a major update for The Blood of Dawnwalker in early October. Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz revealed this in an interview. The patch will add a new difficulty level, improve the combat system, and fix performance issues.

The main addition is an "ultra-easy" difficulty level for players who want to experience the story without challenging combat. In addition, the developers will change several key mechanics:

• Rework the combat targeting system and stun mechanics
• Make escaping from enemies smoother
• Improve character movement
• Optimize performance and FPS

Rebel Wolves has officially confirmed that New Game+ is coming to the game. Tomaszkiewicz said this during a PlayStation Polska stream, but he did not share a release date. According to the tweet, the studio is also exploring new enemy types. It is unclear whether New Game+ will make it into the October update, and details about the mode have not been revealed yet.

As a reminder, the game launched on September 3, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It has received positive reviews: it currently holds a score of 83 on Metacritic, and over 80% of Steam reviews are positive, although players have criticized its optimization. Just over two days after launch, sales passed one million copies.

Meanwhile, the studio is already thinking about a sequel. Tomaszkiewicz said that Rebel Wolves hasn't yet decided whether the 30-day-and-night mechanic will return in future games in the series, as it will depend on whether it suits the story being told. The studio is already searching for a lead writer for the next chapter of the saga.
