Early Screenshots of Splinter Cell Remake Have Surfaced—They Show Game’s First Mission

Ubisoft is officially working on a Splinter Cell Remake, announced back in 2021. Like many of the studio's upcoming projects, it still doesn't have a release date, and details remain scarce, but a new leak offers a glimpse at one of the game's earlier builds.

MP1st shared an exclusive report featuring several screenshots pulled from the public portfolio of an artist who worked at Ubisoft Toronto. The images are believed to reflect a 2024 build of the game, and judging by screenshots, they show what appears to be the first full mission, set in Tbilisi, where Sam Fisher is searching for two missing CIA agents. Several courtyards are visible, along with newspaper clippings featuring the game's main villain, Kombayn Nikoladze, as you can check out below:

The latest word on the Splinter Cell Remake comes from Ubisoft insider Rogue, who claimed this past summer the game is targeting a release in the second half of 2027, though development has apparently hit some bumps along the way. Confirmed features so far include the Snowdrop engine, also used in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars: Outlaws, dynamic lighting, destructible environments, multiple ways to approach each level, and much more

Splinter Cell Remake is in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The exact release date is currently unknown.
