New Control Resonant Trailer Presented at Opening Night Live – It Focuses on the Game’s Combat System

In less than a month, Remedy will release its new and the most ambitious project so far - Control Resonant. The studio has decided to use Opening Night Live to unveil a new trailer for the game, focusing on one of its main features—the combat system.

The new trailer once again confirms just how much Control Resonant has evolved compared to the original title and that the combat system is fully in line with games in the RPG genre—in fact, the developers have repeatedly emphasized that the game is, in fact, an action RPG. On top of the spectacular combat system, the studio also paired the trailer with the song “Omen” by The Prodigy, which, incidentally, fits the action perfectly. Earlier this month, the developers provided more details about Control Resonant’s combat system and explained why the game won’t feature a parry system. Last week, the game officially “went gold,” but the release of the physical edition had to be postponed until October. Despite this, Control Resonant has already surpassed the 1.5 mark on wishlists and is still considered one of the most anticipated and intriguing projects of 2026.

Control Resonant will release on September 24 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
