Pearl Abyss Released New Update for Crimson Desert—Patch Notes Version 1.17.00

Pearl Abyss, the developers of Crimson Desert, have announced the release of the latest update for the game—Patch Notes Version 1.17.00. Unlike previous patches, this one does not include any new features but instead addresses a number of technical issues.

In the Patch Notes for Version 1.17.00, the developers have fixed a number of bugs relating to quests in Crimson Desert, the combat system, animations, sound effects, and localization. You can check out more details about the update, taken from the official Pearl Abyss website, below:

Main Improvements:

• Fixed an issue where progress toward the "Desperate Rescue" challenge was not counted correctly.
• Fixed an issue where an unintended item was assigned to the quick slot after all of the assigned food had been consumed.
• Fixed an issue where the unique effects of special headgear did not activate properly in specific situations.
• Fixed an issue where footstep sounds could overlap or animations could stutter while the player was moving.
• Fixed an issue where icons of unobtainable treasure chests appeared on the map.
• Fixed an issue where trade routes appeared on the map in an abnormal way.
• Fixed various localization errors and improved localization quality across all languages.

In the previous update for Crimson Desert, Patch Notes Version 1.16.00, the developers focused heavily on the trading and banking systems, and given that this update did not include any new features, players are expecting the next patch to be more substantial in this regard. As we know, Pearl Abyss is also officially working on DLC for the game, though details remain unknown for now.

Crimson Desert and its latest update, Patch Notes Version 1.17.00, are now available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Mac.
