Fallout Shelter Surpasses 250 Million Players as Bethesda Confirms New Seasons

Bethesda Game Studios has announced that Fallout Shelter has surpassed 250 million players worldwide, while confirming continued support for the mobile title with future Seasons. The studio also provided an update on its previously announced Fallout Shelter television project in development with Amazon Studios.

The player milestone makes Fallout Shelter the most-played mobile game in the Fallout franchise. Although Bethesda did not reveal a roadmap or release dates for upcoming content, it confirmed that additional Seasons are planned for the game, which originally launched in 2015.

The announcement came alongside a broader studio update covering the future of Fallout 5, The Elder Scrolls VI, Starfield, and ongoing support for Fallout 76, highlighting that Fallout Shelter remains an important part of the franchise's long-term plans.

Bethesda also confirmed that the Fallout Shelter television project with Amazon Studios and Kilter Films is still in development. First reported in January 2026, the series is planned as a 10-episode unscripted competition show inspired by the Fallout universe. Contestants will compete in Vault-Tec-themed survival challenges for a cash prize.

The continued support follows a major resurgence for Fallout Shelter after Amazon's live-action Fallout series premiered in 2024. The mobile game received TV-inspired characters, companions, and themed quests, helping attract a new wave of players and extending the title's lifespan nearly a decade after its release.
