A new report from Newsoo suggests Grand Theft Auto VI could bring in $3.25 billion to $5.2 billion in its first week. This estimate is based on how well pre-orders are going so far. While nothing is official yet, it seems very likely that GTA 6 will break records for both pre-orders and first-week revenue in the gaming world. The report also mentions that as of June 25th, gamers have already spent over $250 million on the game. This is happening even before Rockstar Games has started an active marketing campaign or released a new GTA 6 trailer, which will likely drive pre-orders even higher.

If Newsoo's revenue predictions come true, GTA 6 will also surpass the earnings of its previous title, GTA 5. Last month, GamesIndustry predicted the game would sell 38 million copies in its first year, earning about $3 billion. Earlier reports indicated Take-Two Interactive expects GTA 6 to sell 20 to 25 million copies right at launch.
