Supercell Teases Town Hall 19, Ranked Mode Improvements, and More Clash of Clans Updates

Supercell has shared new details about the future of Clash of Clans, outlining plans for Town Hall 19, Ranked Mode, Battle Mode, Builder Base, and several long-requested quality-of-life features. The update comes from Community Manager Fernando Ferri during the second episode of the Judo Sloth Talks 2026 interview series.

One of the biggest topics was Ranked Mode, where Ferri acknowledged player concerns that valuable Ore rewards make the competitive mode feel mandatory. While separating Ranked and casual play achieved its original goal, Supercell says it is already working on improvements to Battle Mode that should reduce pressure on players without removing meaningful progression. Ferri also revealed that players have completed more than 4.55 billion Ranked battles since the mode launched.

Looking ahead to Town Hall 19, Ferri hinted that the update will make several older troops relevant again through balance changes and new gameplay opportunities. He also confirmed that the long-awaited Elephant Rider temporary troop—originally created through a Supercell Make campaign—is now ready and is expected to arrive later this year after previous delays.

Supercell also confirmed that both Builder Base and Clan Capital will continue receiving incremental improvements instead of waiting for a major overhaul. The developer plans to build on recent updates that increased loot rewards and refined gameplay systems.

The interview also touched on several community-requested features currently under consideration. Among them are merging the Pet House with the Laboratory by introducing a second researcher, allowing two upgrades to run simultaneously. Other ideas include Clan name changes, easier account switching while under attack, improved decoration management, and additional Battle Mode refinements.

Earlier, Supercell also confirmed that Hero Journey is only the first step in a broader overhaul of Hero progression and the game's ore economy, with more developer updates expected in the coming weeks.
