The FIFA World Cup 2026 is now in full swing, and the world's most famous football players are in the spotlight. As a result, a well-known digital artist decided to take advantage of this and created artwork imagining how these famous World Cup athletes might look if they appeared in the most anticipated video game of 2026—GTA 6—and the results turned out remarkably natural and fitting.

On its Instagram account, Ai Digital Sensei, which has over 180,000 followers, shared GTA 6 fan art featuring some of today's most famous football players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Harry Kane, Neymar Jr., Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Lamine Yamal, and Mohamed Salah, as well as popular streamer and content creator IShowSpeed. As you can see in the images below, most of the players are really well integrated into the world of Vice City.

As is well known, real-life celebrities have regularly appeared in the Grand Theft Auto series, playing themselves—for example, musician Phil Collins in GTA: Vice City Stories and actress Cara Delevingne, who hosted the Non-Stop-Pop FM radio station in GTA 5. Given that the events of GTA 6 take place in Vice City, the fictional counterpart of Miami, it's quite possible that Lionel Messi could make an appearance in the game, since he currently plays for Inter Miami. Considering how much Rockstar Games loves different kinds of Easter eggs—including parodies—this seems like quite a possibility.
