My Hero Academia: United Survival Launches November 23, a Year After the Anime Ended

KLab and gumi confirmed November 23, 2026 as the release date for My Hero Academia: United Survival, a free-to-play roguelike coming to PC and mobile worldwide except mainland China. Players build three-character squads from heroes and villains, chain Quirk-based combos into team ultimates, and carry permanent progression between runs that otherwise reshuffle each time. Confirmed characters include Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shoto Todoroki, Tsuyu Asui, and Himiko Toga.

KLab distributes the game and gumi co-develops it under license from the My Hero Academia Production Committee, and the timing matters more than the genre choice. The mainline anime finished its run, with a bonus special closing things out in May 2026, so this game lands about a year after the story that made the franchise a hit ended. That's the gap United Survival exists to fill.

Pre-registration opened June 25 and already points toward the monetization model KLab hasn't confirmed outright. Hitting 500,000 sign-ups unlocks an Enlist Ticket that lets players pick an SR-rarity version of Midoriya, Bakugo, or Todoroki, and SR tiers only mean anything inside a gacha rarity system. Fans reacting to the reveal have already flagged the chibi art style as divisive and the free-to-play structure as a likely gacha risk, according to ScreenRant's coverage of the announcement.

I don't think KLab needs to say the word gacha for anyone to know what United Survival is. A pre-registration reward built around SR-rarity character tickets is the industry's plainest signal, and franchises this size don't usually walk that setup back once fans start reacting to it. I'd watch the August adaptation of the Ultra Age bonus manga as the bigger tell here: My Hero Academia isn't ending with its anime, it's shifting into the print-and-mobile afterlife that keeps a franchise's licensing revenue running long after the main story stops.
