Frogwares Announced Pre-Orders Opening for The Sinking City 2, Revealed New Trailer and System Requirements

The Ukrainian studio Frogwares has unveiled new details about its upcoming project, The Sinking City 2, the sequel to the original video game released in 2019. Specifically, the developers announced the start of pre-orders alongside the reveal of multiple editions, and also presented a new trailer along with the system requirements for the PC version.

If you pre-order any edition of The Sinking City 2, you will receive three additional weapons: the "Shale Mary" handgun, the "Breakwater" shotgun, and the "Tektite Tommy" SMG. The Deluxe Edition, in addition to the base game, includes the Arkham Field Kit, which features three unique outfits: "The Anatomist," "The Witness," and "Heretic Heraldry." It also comes with three Dream Essences to help you unlock your first Talent early, plus a Resource Pack filled with a useful mix of ammo, healing items, and crafting materials to help you settle into the city. Finally, the Premium Edition of The Sinking City 2 gives players the chance to start playing the game 24 hours earlier. Beyond all the content included in the Deluxe Edition, it also offers the Holloway Manor—a two-hour side quest set in a decaying mansion haunted by a family's dark occult past. Upon completing this quest, you'll be rewarded with a powerful revolver called the "Bucking Bronco." Below, you can also check out the new trailer for The Sinking City 2:

Unlike the original 2019 title, which was an action-adventure, The Sinking City 2 is a full-fledged survival horror, primarily inspired by the Resident Evil series. The game focuses on surviving in semi-open locations, where players have to deal with a scarcity of ammunition and limited inventory space. You can also try out a free demo version of the game across all platforms.

The Sinking City 2 will release on August 18 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
