IllFonic Revealed New Map for Halloween: The Game - Orange Grove Estates

One of the many projects set to release this September is Halloween: The Game—a new asymmetric horror video game based on the 1978 film of the same name, directed by John Carpenter. IllFonic, the studio behind the title, continues to reveal details about the upcoming game.

This time, on its social media, the developer revealed a new map for Halloween: The Game—Orange Grove Estates—which will be a familiar setting for fans of the original film. The map notably features various two-story houses, including the Wallace and Doyle houses, with multiple rooms on both floors, where players will have to hide from the menacing Michael Myers. This marks the third map confirmed for Halloween: The Game; previously, IllFonic introduced Haddonfield Heights, which includes the house where it all began back in 1963, and Haddonfield Town Center—a legendary location from the film that was a favorite spot for the town's residents.

The upper-middle-class neighborhood of Orange Grove Estates, home to the Wallace and Doyle residences, will soon face the wrath of the Boogeyman.

In addition, IllFonic recently confirmed that Michael Myers will not be the only playable character in Halloween: The Game. As is known, the game will include a story mode in which, besides the killer, players can take control of characters such as Laurie Strode, the franchise's main protagonist, as well as Lynda Van der Klok, Annie Brackett, and Bob Simms. At the same time, Dr. Samuel "Sam" Loomis—another well-known character from the universe—will act as a sort of narrator. The game will feature six chapters, each likely dedicated to one of the characters.

Last month, IllFonic also revealed the pre-order bonuses for Halloween: The Game and confirmed the contents of the Deluxe Edition, which, among other perks, includes early access to the game and several character costumes.
