Not Just Michael Myers: Multiple Playable Characters Confirmed for Halloween: The Game

We can expect a lot of major releases this September, and Halloween: The Game—a new asymmetric horror title inspired by John Carpenter's classic—is surely one of them. Similar to Dead by Daylight, players will wear the shoes of the legendary Michael Myers as he hunts down the residents of Haddonfield. However, the masked villain won't be the only playable character, which can make the franchise fans excited.

On their official website, IllFonic, the studio behind Halloween: The Game, confirmed that besides Michael Myers, playable characters will include heroes from the original 1978 film—Laurie Strode, the franchise's main protagonist, as well as Lynda Van der Klok, Annie Brackett, and Bob Simms. In addition to multiplayer, and unlike Dead by Daylight, Halloween: The Game will also feature a single-player mode where all the characters mentioned above, including Michael Myers, will be playable.

Bob + Lynda + Annie + Laurie = One hell of a Halloween.

Speaking about the plot of Halloween: The Game, it will follow the 1978 film directed by John Carpenter. The developers have confirmed that Dr. Samuel "Sam" Loomis—another well-known character from its universe—will serve as a sort of narrator. The game will feature six chapters, with each likely to be dedicated to one of the characters.

Last month, IllFonic revealed the pre-order bonuses for Halloween: The Game and confirmed what’s inside the Deluxe Edition, which, among other things, includes early access to the game and several character costumes.
