Five Nights at Freddy's Becomes Playable Directly on YouTube
A playable version of Five Nights at Freddy's has been recreated inside a YouTube video, allowing fans to experience a simplified version of the horror classic without downloading the game. The project was developed by YouTube creator Atlas Arcade and works on both PC and mobile devices.
Rather than recreating the full game, the interactive video focuses on the original security office gameplay. Players must watch for Bonnie and Chica approaching the doors and close the correct entrance before they're caught. On PC, controls use the A, D, and L keys, while mobile players can look around by dragging the screen and close doors with a double tap.
The project relies on YouTube's 180-degree video feature combined with the platform's seek function to simulate gameplay. Because of this approach, players can technically skip to the end of the video instead of completing the challenge, although the interactive mechanics closely mimic the original experience.
The fan-made project arrives as the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise continues to expand. Five Laps at Freddy's, a kart racing spin-off, is scheduled to launch later this year, while a third Five Nights at Freddy's film and the Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded Edition are also in development.
