GTA 6 May Feature a 30 FPS Quality Mode and a 60 FPS Performance Mode On Consoles

After Rockstar Games officially announced the start of GTA 6 pre-orders last week, it's assumed that most fans have already added the most anticipated game of 2026 to their libraries. However, many were disappointed by the fact that the developers have yet to release a new trailer or reveal any new details—whether related to the story, gameplay, or the game's technical aspects.

However, this doesn't mean that information about GTA 6 hasn’t leaked through various unofficial sources. For example, during a recent episode of the Rock and Borys podcast, Polish insider Boris Nespelyak, who has connections with Rockstar Games, revealed that GTA VI will feature a Quality Mode running at 30 FPS and a Performance Mode at 60 FPS on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. He also mentioned that if the 60 FPS Performance Mode isn't available at launch, Rockstar Games will add it in one of the first updates for GTA 6.

A new rumor claims GTA VI will launch with two graphics modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X: a 30 FPS Quality Mode and a 60 FPS Performance Mode.

The claim comes from the Polish podcast Rock and Borys, which says it spoke to sources close to Rockstar. The podcast has previously reported accurate Rockstar-related information, including The Witcher 3 expansion before it was officially announced.

According to the rumor, if the 60 FPS mode isn’t ready for launch, Rockstar plans to add it in a post-launch update.

Earlier, another Polish source had already reported that GTA 6 would feature 'Quality' and 'Performance' modes, but the exact FPS numbers were not specified. Rockstar Games has yet to make any official statements on the matter.

In the meantime, Brazilian retailers have revealed new details about the game, including aspects of the open world, the ability to switch between Jason and Lucia, and much more.
