GTA 6 Might Include Even More Advanced Injury Mechanics Than Red Dead Redemption 2
Only a few days remain until the pre-orders for GTA 6, the most anticipated game of 2026, open. Rockstar Games announced last week that pre-orders will become available on June 25, and fans are eager to find out the game's price, learn new details, and, of course, see the new trailer.
While this has yet to happen, players continue to meticulously search for any new information about GTA 6. A user named GTAVI_Countdown pointed out that the game might feature an enhanced damage system for the main characters, Jason and Lucia. Specifically, they noticed several fresh scars on the characters in recent artwork and speculated that some of these wounds, depending on their severity, could remain on their bodies for an extended period. If that's the case, the damage system in GTA 6 would be even more advanced than in Red Dead Redemption 2, where it was implemented at an almost revolutionary level.
New injury mechanic potentially confirmed in GTA 6:
- Lucia has a fresh scar in the new artwork.
- Jason has a bandage around his arm due to a recent injury in Trailer 2’s artwork.
- Jason has an old scar on his nose (likely story-related as Lucia mocks him in Trailer 2 saying “you broke my nose”).
Fans are also hopeful that with the upcoming opportunity to pre-order GTA 6, Rockstar Games will release a new trailer for the game. According to rumors, the trailer could be around 20 minutes long. By the way, the developers also revealed the game's cover art, which bears many similarities to the GTA: Vice City cover. Additionally, fans have identified the attractive woman on the GTA 6 cover as Gabriela Chiquin, a model from Venezuela who is also known as a DJ and runs her own OnlyFans account.
For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far - the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as how GTA 6 is reshaping the 2026 game calendar and everything we know about GTA 6 pre-order details.
Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
