Police Stopped Bloggers Who Wanted to Leak GTA 6 Info from Rockstar North’s Office

As is known, the marketing campaign for GTA 6, the most anticipated video game of 2026, will start this summer, although the exact start date remains unknown. Previously, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, hinted that June 21 could be the very Pandora's box when Rockstar Games begins sharing new information about the game, including the release of a new trailer, the reveal of the price, and the possibility to pre-order.

Nevertheless, some fans are so impatient about getting new information about GTA 6 that they are forced to take extreme measures. It was recently reported that a group of German bloggers, including YouTuber ÜberGaming, tried to break into the Rockstar North division in Edinburgh with the aim of producing a new leak of Grand Theft Auto VI. Settling in a nearby hotel, they literally broke into the office building, jumping over turnstiles, after which the security staff immediately called the police.

According to the report from the Viciados portal, with a reference to the abovementioned GTA 6 bloggers, it was revealed that the Rockstar North office is guarded around the clock, has more than 50 surveillance cameras, and some developers are even accompanied by police units.

According to a group of GTA 6 YouTubers who were questioned by the police after going inside Rockstar North’s office:

• A police vehicle with the sirens passes in front of the building every 20-30 minutes.
• Senior employees were seen leaving the studio in taxis accompanied by police escort.
• The building is monitored by 50-60 security cameras.
• There’s a security team of 3-4 is in the main lobby 24/7.
• The studio is being protected under a special police program implemented at the request of the Scottish government.

This once again confirms how tightly the development of GTA 6 is being kept secret, and what measures the developers are taking to prevent leaks, understanding that players are capable of a lot.
