Project Madras, GTA-Type Game Set in India, Will Be Shown This Month

While fans around the world await any information about GTA 6, the studio Royston Cinemo presented new details of Project Madras - a sort of Grand Theft Auto analogue set in India—and also confirmed the new official information will be revealed later this month.

Project Madras is an open-world game set in the Indian city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The game is using Unreal Engine 5, including its latest features—Nanite and Lumen—and contains elements of action, RPG, racing, and exploration. According to the game’s description on its official website, Project Madras is “an ambitious project that Royston Cinemo has been working on for the past few years” since the game was announced in October 2022. The game also received a Steam page, where you can add it to your wishlist. Meanwhile, insider Tom Henderson announced that Project Madras will appear at the upcoming event Insider Gaming Showcase, scheduled for May 28th at 3PM ET/ 8PM BST.
