Insider Shared New Information About Story and Gameplay of Untitled John Wick Game

Untitled John Wick Game, developed by Saber Interactive (Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, World War Z), was officially announced at PlayStation’s State of Play this February with an exciting reveal trailer. The game is still believed to be at an early stage of development, but even despite this, it’s one of the most anticipated titles.

John Wick movies have been full-packed with intense action scenes, and, of course, it wouldn’t be that good without Keanu Reeves, who is obviously involved in Untitled John Wick Game. Saber Interactive is not ready to share new details about the game, but insider TCMFGames, who was the first to reveal that John Wick game is in development, now shared that the game has been in development for three years and mentioned other details.

Untitled John Wick Game will bring gun-fu-style combat “to make people feel they are in the movie”. This information aligns with an early report from insider DetectiveSeeds that the combat system will be inspired by such games as Sleeping Dogs and Sifu. It is also including interactive environments with plenty of weapons—even the pencil that Keanu Reeves used in the movies. Not only the actor but also movie series director Chad Stahelski also takes part in game’s development, though his role is not mentioned.

Speaking of the game’s plot, not plenty detailed is known so far, but insider claim it takes place years before “the impossible task”—the legendary mission, which involved killing all the mafia rivals in one night and the subsequent opportunity for John Wick to retire. In March, the CEO of Saber Interactive, Tim Willis, confirmed Untitled John Wick Game will serve as a prequel to the movies, and according to TCMFGames, the game is “set to blur the line between them”.
