New Alien Video Game Will Be Officially Revealed Tomorrow

Last month, on the day when fans and the world at large celebrate International Alien Day, Creative Assembly debuted the trailer for the Alien: Isolation sequel, which was first announced in 2024. It looks like we can expect a reveal of another xenomorph game tomorrow.

On their social media channels, IGN announced that a reveal for Alien: Fireteam Elite 2—the sequel to the 2021 title from Cold Iron Studios—will take place tomorrow at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT. While leaks regarding the game's existence have appeared regularly online, it had not been officially confirmed until now. However, that is now moot, as tomorrow we will see the official trailer for Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 on IGN's YouTube channel and, in all likelihood, learn the first details.

“Join us tomorrow at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT for our exclusive reveal of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, the sequel to the hit PvE third-person shooter. We're counting down to the trailer premiere on our YouTube channel!”

The original Alien: Fireteam Elite was released in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is a co-op third-person action with a focus on surviving against hordes of enemies, similar to Left 4 Dead, where you fight xenomorphs instead of zombies. Moreover, the game is canon to the main Alien universe, with its events taking place after the original film trilogy.

Besides Fireteam Elite 2 and the above-mentioned Alien: Isolation sequel, Eidos Montreal, the developers of Deux Ex franchise, are reportedly working on a big-budget AAA title based on Alien, which was previously described as “Shadow of the Tomb Raider with Xenomorphs.”
