Bank of America Reveals That GTA 6 Should Cost $80

The fans all around the world are hopeful that this month will be crucial of GTA 6 in terms of getting a new official information, or even a new, third trailer. Several factors point to this: Rockstar Games’ preparations for the game’s marketing campaign, which is set to launch this summer; numerous statements by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of the development studio; and the fact that the company plans to release its next earnings call on May 21.

There is also a possibility that pre-orders for GTA 6 will become available as new information about the game is released, and fans are hoping that the price won’t be too high. And although Strauss-Zelnick’s recent statement regarding the game’s potential price does not reveal any specific details, according to analysts at Bank of America, Rockstar Games should price its new game at $80, as this is necessary to set a new financial standard for all new AAA titles in the gaming industry. In their view, if GTA 6 costs less—say, $70—it could negatively impact companies that are justifiably raising prices for their products, which could cause chaos in the market. At this point, the exact price for GTA 6 remains unknown, and it surely won’t be $100 as was previously rumored. This was revealed by industry insider Tom Henderson, who also claimed that $80 is the most likely price for the standard edition of the game.
