Clash of Clans April Update — New Siege Machine, Ranked Rework & Major Changes

Clash of Clans is preparing for a major April 2026 update, bringing a mix of confirmed features and early leaks. From new gameplay mechanics to balance changes and progression tweaks, the update is shaping up to be one of the more substantial releases in recent months.

New Siege Machine: Sky Wagon

The Sky Wagon introduces a fresh approach to air-based attacks. Unlike traditional Siege Machines, it moves independently across the base, targeting nearby structures instead of following troops.

Rather than dealing direct damage, it periodically drops barrels that release air units and Clan Castle reinforcements. While its deployment speed is slower than the Troop Launcher, it provides consistent support throughout the attack.

New Town Hall Defense: The Logger

A new defensive unit called The Logger will act as a Town Hall Guardian. It uses long-range, piercing projectiles that can hit both ground and air units, while also applying knockback.

With increasing range at higher levels and strong durability—reaching up to 12,000 HP and 350 DPS—the Logger is designed to control large areas of the battlefield.

New Equipment: Electro Fangs

The Electro Fangs equipment for the Dragon Duke introduces a chain-damage mechanic similar to Electro Dragons. Each attack can jump between multiple targets, with reduced damage per chain.

As the equipment levels up, the number of targets increases, reaching up to four enemies per attack at maximum level, alongside a significant health boost.

Ranked Mode Overhaul

Ranked Mode is receiving a major rework:

  • Legend League split into three tiers: Legend I, II, and III
  • Improved matchmaking based on skill level
  • Reduced battle requirements in higher leagues
  • More forgiving inactivity penalties (up to four weeks without demotion)

Additionally, older modifiers are being rebalanced and integrated into the new system.

New Levels and Upgrades

The update introduces new upgrade levels across multiple categories, mainly targeting higher Town Hall players. This includes:

  • New building levels (Army Camp, Scattershot, X-Bow, and more)
  • Troop upgrades for units like Barbarian, Dragon, and Golem
  • Spell upgrades including Rage, Freeze, and Clone
  • Siege Machine upgrades

Clan War League Expansion

Clan War Leagues will expand with four new tiers:

  • Titan III, Titan II, Titan I, and Legend

These tiers introduce adjusted promotion/demotion rules and improved medal rewards, offering a more structured competitive system.

Progression Improvements

Upgrade times across several Town Hall levels will be reduced, making progression faster and more accessible—especially for higher-level players.

Release Timing

Although an exact release date has not been confirmed, the update is expected to arrive around April 27, 2026, aligning with the launch of the Electro Fangs event.
