Newest Star Wars Video Game Received a Release Date

There are plenty of promising Star Wars video games that are currently in development, and one of them has just received an update—possible release date reveal. Unfortunately for RPG fans, it’s not Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic or a remake of Knights of the Old Republic.

Instead, as spotted by X social media users Wario64, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is likely to be released on October 6 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. In a now-deleted post on Steam, we saw what’s inside the game’s Deluxe Edition, which includes three exclusive vehicles, three arcade events, a digital art book, a deluxe player banner, and unique livery if you pre-order the game. Although it’s not possible to see it on Steam, you can check out this finding that features a release date below:

“STAR WARS: Galactic Racer will release on Oct 6, 2026 according to Steam. Deluxe Edition contents revealed (Steelbook included with physical purchase)”

At this point, Fuse Games hasn’t given any comments about Star Wars: Galactic Racer release date, so this report should be considered with a grain of salt, and the game still may be postponed to 2027. The game was announced at last year’s Game Awards show—just like Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, which is under development at Arcanaut Studios, led by Casey Hudson—the director of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect trilogy. Speaking of Knights of the Old Republic, the game’s remake, announced in 2021, could be revealed this year, and there is also a game from Quantic Dream (Detroit: Become Human)—Star Wars Eclipse, whose development, according to rumors, isn't going very smoothly.

There are also rumors that on May 4th, the official day of Star Wars, the new Star Wars Jedi will be announced, which is said to be the biggest game in the franchise, featuring multiple new planets with advanced traversal systems and environmental storytelling.

As for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, the game is set to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 this year.
