Forgotten Star Wars Video Game Could Be Revealed This Year

There are multiple Star Wars video games confirmed to be in development, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is one of them. The game was initially announced back in 2021 and developed by Aspyr studio. However, another studio, Mad Head Games, is now working on the game, but the release date still remains unknown.

Recently, the CEO of Saber Interactive, Tim Willis, has confirmed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is still in development despite previous rumors the game could be cancelled. Moreover, gaming insider 100 Star Wars has also reacted to the update from Tim Willis. According to him, Star Wars: Knights of the Republic Remake looks impressive, and the game could even be revealed this year, as you can check out below:

“I've seen Saber's KOTOR Remake... and I'm extremely impressed with most of what they're building.

Having seen both, I think the cancelling of Aspyr's Remake with Saber starting from scratch was the right choice.

If things continue smoothly, possible reveal this year...”

Interestingly, the insider also mentioned the version of Knights of the Old Republic Remake developed by Aspyr and thinks it was a right decision for the current developers, Mad Head Games, to lead the project. Hopefully, the scooper is right, and we will see the first footage of the game this year.

Among the other Star Wars video games that are confirmed to be in development is Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic—another RPG, announced at last year’s The Game Awards and developed by Casey Hudson and Arcanaut Studios. Hudson is the director of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic title and also Mass Effect trilogy. Quantic Dream, the developers of Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, is also working on a Star Wars Eclipse, action-adventure interactive storytelling title, but the game, just like Fate of the Old Republic, doesn’t have a release date.
