Some gamers even assumed the game could be cancelled, as some rumors suggested, but we finally got some prospect update from the CEO of Saber Interactive, a parent company of Mad Head Games. According to Tim Willis, the development of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is still on. As he revealed during the latest interview with IGN, “Yes, it is still in development. That’s all I can say”.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Is Confirmed to Be in Development 1

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is one of many confirmed Star Wars video games that have yet to have a release date. On the latest Game Awards show, another RPG, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, was announced, developed by Arcanaut Studios, led by Casey Hudson, the director of the original Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect Trilogy. Also, there is a Star Wars Eclipse—also announced in 2021, just like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. The game is developed by Quantic Dream (Detroit: Become Human) and will have a similar mechanics, where we can play for different characters, although they will all be related to each other. The game is set during the High Republic; it’s still believed to be at an early stage of development and doesn’t have a release date.

At the same time, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new racing title developed by Fuse Games, is set to release this year.
