Chris Avellone Doesn't Believe Obsidian Will Make Another Fallout Game

Back in 2010, Obsidian released Fallout: New Vegas, which at that time was the franchise’s biggest entry not developed by Bethesda Game Studios. As a result, it turned out to be one of the best Fallout games in the whole game series.

Undoubtedly, one of the main reasons for this success is the presence of Chris Avellone, who was the lead designer of Fallout: New Vegas and one of the writers. Avellone also took part in Fallout 2 development when it was made by Black Isle Studios back in 1998, but his contribution wasn't that significant. Since leaving Obsidian in 2015, Chris Avellone has criticized Bethesda’s vision of Fallout game series, and it looks like he will never be involved in any of the future franchise installments.

However, there are still fans who would love to see another Fallout title developed by the studio, but, according to Chris Avellone himself, he doesn’t think it will happen soon, as he revealed during the conversation on X social media, as you can check out below:

“Please go back to obsidian and make a proper fallout

Why would Obsidian be allowed to do another Fallout is more the question.;) That's the biggest challenge there, I doubt Bethesda would let them do another success.”

Earlier this year, Chris Avellone revealed on X that Bethesda Game Studios, according to him, doesn’t know how to deal with Fallout franchise, but then he deleted the post.

Bethesda Game Studios is rumored to be working on remastered versions of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, as well as the fifth installment, which is still believed to be at an early stage of development.
