Peter Parker’s Actor Might Be Teasing Marvel’s Spider-Man 3
Insomniac Games’ next installment, Marvel’s Wolverine, is set to release this September exclusively on PlayStation 5, but the studio is confirmed to be working on third Marvel’s Spider-Man video game—the one that will probably finish the trilogy started back in 2018.
Although Insomniac Games hasn’t revealed anything specific about the upcoming title, as they are believed to be fully concentrated on Marvel’s Wolverine, Ben Jordan, the face model for Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man, has teased on his Instagram that work on the project has begun or is already underway, as we can see him wearing motion-capture gear. The actor has already deleted the photo, but fans managed to save it. Jordan also commented on the photo as IYKYK— “If you know, you know”—and a spider emoji.
We also know that Insomniac Games is working on Marvel’s Venom—a spin-off to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is expected to have a similar scale as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to the original title. So, if it’s not Marvel Spider-Man 3, it could be this project, as it’s expected to release earlier. Plus, following the upcoming release of Marvel’s Wolverine, we can't rule out the possibility of a cameo appearance by Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the game, as is often the case in the MCU—and the games are confirmed to exist in one universe.
As for Marvel’s Wolverine, the game will be much different from Marvel’s Spider-Man titles—more brutal and bloodier—and won't feature an open world. The release date is scheduled for September 15 exclusively for PlayStation 5.
