Fortnite Reload Gets New Elite Stronghold Map — Release Date & Early Access Details
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 continues to expand beyond Battle Royale, with new content arriving across multiple modes. Among the latest additions, Fortnite Reload is set to receive a brand-new map called Elite Stronghold.
Elite Stronghold Release Date
The Elite Stronghold map will officially launch on April 20, 2026. While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed the exact time, updates typically go live around 9 AM ET, following a short maintenance period that usually begins at 4 AM ET.

Early Access Details
Players will have a chance to try the map early on April 18, during limited-time sessions:
- 1 PM – 6 PM ET
- 6 PM – 11 PM CET
However, early access comes with a requirement—only players who have reached Elite rank or higher in Reload mode will be eligible to participate.
Competitive Opportunities
Following the official release, Elite Stronghold Test Cups will run from April 21 to April 23, giving competitive players a chance to test their skills on the new map in a tournament setting.
What to Expect
With ongoing updates like Blitz improvements and Power Hours, Fortnite continues to expand its ecosystem beyond traditional Battle Royale. The addition of Elite Stronghold further strengthens Reload mode, offering fresh gameplay and new competitive opportunities for players.
