Bethesda Confirmed Studio Is Planning to Support Starfield for Many Years to Come
Starfield is finally releasing today on PlayStation 5, as well as the newest update—Free Lanes, which is said to be the biggest update for Bethesda Game Studios sci-fi action RPG so far. For those who had doubts, the studio confirmed their plans to develop and support Starfield in the future.
To promote the PlayStation 5 version of Starfield, lead creative producer of the game Tim Lamb and art director Istvan Rely recently spoke to GamesRadar, where they revealed that Bethesda is looking to release more updates for the game in the future, as you can check out below:
“Tim Lamb:
"I think there's a future for it. We have plans.
I won't go into specifics, but when we launch a game, our plan is always long-term support. To what level that happens, or the significance of that, how it manifests, is open to interpretation. But there's more to come for Starfield. I think there's things that still excite the team – there are still lore and places that we're excited to explore; those would be the things we'll be chasing after.”
Art director of Bethesda Game Studios, Istvan Pely, added that they talked about “so many different versions of DLCs” they want to do that “address different parts of the game.” He summed it up, teasing that “the list is crazy”.
Last week, Bethesda Game Studios also revealed much information about Starfield’s Free Lanes update in a separate article, which you can check out here.
