Fortnite Crew Pack Nerfed — Players to Get Fewer V-Bucks Starting June 2026

Fortnite is making adjustments to its in-game economy, and one of the biggest changes will affect how many V-Bucks players receive through the monthly Crew Pack subscription. V-Bucks are the game’s primary currency, used to purchase cosmetics, Battle Passes, and other content, making them a key part of the overall experience.

Fewer V-Bucks in Crew Pack

Starting in June 2026, Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive 800 V-Bucks per month, down from the current 1,000. Epic Games informed players of the change via email, giving them time to reconsider their subscription before it takes effect.

This adjustment is part of a broader shift often referred to as “shrinkflation,” where the price of a product remains the same, but the value decreases. While Epic has stated that V-Bucks prices themselves are not increasing, players will effectively receive less currency for the same cost.

Impact on Players

At first glance, the change might seem balanced by recent adjustments—such as the reduced cost of the Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass. However, prices in the Item Shop have not been lowered, meaning players will ultimately have less purchasing power.

Over time, this difference becomes more noticeable. Losing 200 V-Bucks per month adds up to 2,400 V-Bucks annually, which is roughly equivalent to a full V-Bucks bundle worth around $22.99. This effectively reduces the overall value of the Crew Pack subscription over the course of a year.

Is the Crew Pack Still Worth It?

The Fortnite Crew subscription costs $11.99 per month (or is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) and provides a monthly cosmetic set, access to various passes, and V-Bucks upon renewal.

For players who regularly engage with Fortnite and frequently purchase cosmetics or Battle Pass content, the subscription may still offer solid value. However, with reduced V-Bucks rewards, some players may begin to question whether it’s still worth the cost.

Ultimately, this change could lead to a shift in how players view the Crew Pack—and potentially result in some subscribers choosing to cancel.
