GTA 6 Will Feature Mechanics from Red Dead Redemption 2

Even though Red Dead Redemption 2, the latest installment from Rockstar Games, was released in 2018, the game still looks impressive technically—and even better than some titles released in recent years. And the fans have no doubt the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI will be even bigger and better.

We already know, according to leaks, GTA 6 will have a more advanced and improved NPC dialogue system than in Red Dead Redemption 2, and the game’s budget is reportedly somewhere between $2 and $3 billion. For comparison, the budget of Grand Theft Auto V is $265 million, and Red Dead Redemption 2 is between $370 and $540 million. Grand Theft Auto VI is likely to include even more features of Red Dead Redemption 2 and take them to the next level. The same opinion is held by former Rockstar Games developer Rob Carr, as he revealed in a recent conversation with Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly, as you can check out below:

"Even on GTA 5, they took the Dead Eye system. They used the Dead Eye as one of the perks for one of the characters. You've got the Dead Eye thing that Michael used, I think you've got the slow-mo driving thing for Franklin, and the basically berserker mode for Trevor.

"They're all things that, you know – key things have been used in previous titles that they wanted to expand upon. So, I'll be surprised if they don't use something from Red Dead 2.”

In the same interview, Carr also suggested that Rockstar Games could have rebuilt their RAGE game engine from scratch during GTA 6’s development. You can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far, about the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more— here.
