Three God of War Games Will Be Revealed This Summer

Last month at PlayStation’s State of Play, two new God of War video games were officially confirmed—God of War Trilogy Remake and God of War: Sons of Sparta. While the remake of the original God of War trilogy is still believed to be at an early stage of development, Sons of Sparta became available on the same day it was announced—February 12.

Furthermore, we know that more God of War titles are coming: according to previous rumors, the next mainline game in the franchise is likely to be set in Egypt, and there is another project featuring Fate as its protagonist. Although Santa Monica Studio hasn’t revealed their plans so far, PlayStation insider TCMFGames reveals more information about the future God of War installment in his newest post on X. According to the scooper, this summer we will see the reveal of three God of War games: God of War: Trilogy Remake, announced this February, a new game featuring Faye, and the next mainline God of War game, seemingly set in Egypt, as you can check out below:

"The next God of War universe game will reportedly be revealed this summer;

Besides that, there is also reportedly a new Kratos mainline title in the works;

Tom Henderson claims Kratos will wield an “Egyptian sword” in the next mainline game;

Christopher Judge (Kratos) said at MCM London Comic Con he hopes the next game takes place in Egypt;

He added, “If there is another game, I have no doubt it will be great—no matter what pantheon it is”;

Currently there’s the Faye game for reveal this summer, the remake and the next mainline game;"

As we know, the next State of Play show is reportedly taking place in late spring or early summer, according to gaming insider Millie A, so we can expect another God of War announcement, or even announcements, there, just like this February. Recently, TCMFGames also revealed God of War Trilogy Remake could be released by 2028, though Santa Monica hasn’t confirmed the release date of the upcoming remake yet.

Besides multiple God of War games, Amazon is developing a TV show based on God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok, which is currently in production.
