Pearl Abyss Announced Crimson Desert Has Sold 4 Million Copies

Released on March 19, only five days from the launch day, Crimson Desert has sold over 3 million dollars across all platforms. Today, Pearl Abyss, the developing studio, announced the game has reached another significant milestone.

On X social media, the official account of Crimson Desert has confirmed the game has now sold 4 million copies. A few days ago, Pearl Abyss also released a new update— Patch Notes Version 1.01.00 —which changed the game for good, and since then Crimson Desert has broken another record on Steam for all-time players. Surely, this update has made the game better, with its reviews on Steam now mostly positive. You can check out the statement from Crimson Desert about 4 million copies sold below:

“Crimson Desert has sold through 4 million copies worldwide. Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support.”

When the game was launched on March 19, gamers shared negative reviews on Pearl Abyss's latest title for a number of reasons: a weak storyline, gameplay that differs from what was shown in the trailers, and technical issues on consoles and PC that left much to be desired. However, now Crimson Desert is doing well, and hopefully Pearl Abyss will continue to add more content to the game and make the experience even better.

According to the latest interview with the CEO of Pearl Abyss, Heo Jin-young, multiplayer and mod support can potentially appear in Crimson Desert someday in the future, but currently it's too complicated to realize these ideas.
