Brawl Stars March 2026 Balance Update Shakes Up the Meta

The March 2026 Brawl Stars balance update has gone live following scheduled maintenance, introducing a range of changes that are expected to significantly impact both casual and competitive play.

A Shift Toward Meta Balance

This mid-season update focuses on reducing the dominance of top-performing brawlers while giving underused characters more room to compete. The goal is to create a healthier and more diverse meta across all game modes.

Key Nerfs

Several high-performing brawlers have received notable nerfs:

• Najia: Reduced damage on both primary and secondary attacks
• Crow: Gadget now has a 20-second activation delay; projectile speed reduced
• Bibi: Slower Super and Hypercharge charge rates; increased Gadget cooldown
• Bull: Lower HP, reduced Hypercharge efficiency, increased damage fall-off, and shorter stun duration
• Glowy: Reduced attack range
• Spike: Slight damage reduction
• Rico: Decreased attack damage
• Emz: Gadget damage halved and cooldown increased

Bull and Emz were among the most affected, receiving multiple adjustments that significantly reduce their overall effectiveness.

Buffs for Clancy and Gigi

On the other side, two brawlers received meaningful improvements:

Clancy:

• Increased HP for better survivability
• Improved attack accuracy and range at higher stages
• Reduced cooldowns for both Gadgets

Gigi:

• Faster Super charge rate
• Reduced Gadget cooldown
• Faster activation of defensive abilities

These changes aim to make both characters more viable in competitive play.

Bug Fixes

The update also addresses a known issue where Spike’s Buffied Popping Pincushion Gadget dealt less damage than intended. Additional minor fixes may also be included, although not all have been detailed.
