Resident Evil Requiem’s Director Hints Players Will Find Out Leon S. Kennedy’s Wife Soon

Resident Evil Requiem continues to show impressive sales results, as the game was recently confirmed to have sold more than 6 million copies, becoming the fastest-selling title in the history of the horror franchise. The game is also receiving a story DLC soon, as revealed by its director Koshi Nakanishi in the special announcement, as well as photo mode and a new mini-game.

There are speculations among the fans that Leon S. Kennedy will be the DLC’s main character. Also, a recent report by insider Dusk Golem suggests Ada Wong, romantic partner of Leon, may appear in the upcoming expansion. According to some fans, Ada Wong could actually be Leon’s wife, as players noticed he wears a wedding ring in Resident Evil Requiem. “The answer will become clear someday, but not just yet. What we wanted to convey in the final scene is simple: Leon now has a 'place to go home to', and we hope you can imagine the peaceful moments he spends there.

Leon is a man who says very little about the things that truly matter, but he would sacrifice himself without a second thought to save a life right in front of him. So what does his ring signify? Resolve? Or a vow?

He may never voice the answer himself, but for now, after finishing a long battle, he has a 'place to go home to'. Isn't that enough?"

Ada Wong might be the most likely candidate to be Leon’s wife considering their long history of relationship, but there are other options. For instance, Sherry Birkin, who makes her return in Resident Evil Requiem, but there are no teasers in the game that they are partners - more likely, they are colleagues. We can also mention Ashley Graham, who was saved from Leon in Resident Evil 4, or Claire Redfield, as they know each other well since the tragedy in Raccoon City. Anyway, the upcoming DLC, as teased by Koshi Nakanishi, is likely to reveal more information on Leon S. Kennedy's private life.
