Crimson Desert, developed by Pearl Abyss, is releasing in a few days, and hype around the game continues to grow. The upcoming RPG remains one of the most anticipated projects of 2026 thanks to its huge scale, exciting combat system, and detailing, and, as was previously described, the game is inspired by some great video games like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Despite Crimson Desert having been delayed a couple of times, the fans are hopeful the game will save its quality in terms of optimization, narrative, and gameplay. Moreover, Tassi also reflects on the situation on the market; specifically, he reveals a lot of upcoming titles are exclusives, like Marvel’s Wolverine, Saros, Pokémon Pokomia, and Crimson Desert, and being a multiplatform title, it has a higher probability of having a bigger profit. However, there are other exciting multiplatform games set to release later this year, such as 007 First Light, Fable, Forza Horizon 6, and more, that can compete with Crimson Desert.

Of course, not everything might be perfect with Pearl Abyss’ project after all. Recently, it was revealed Crimson Desert will use Denuvo on Steam, and it left the fans disappointed as it could have a massive impact on the game’s optimization.
