What Is The Difference Between PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium?

As it was mentioned before, PlayStation Plus program has three different subscription types: Essential, Extra, and Premium, and there are quite a few differences between all of them. Essential subscription allows the gamers to receive two new games each month, discounts, access to multiplayer, and cloud storage. Extra subscription has the same list of benefits as Essential and also access to the catalog of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games. At last, Premium subscription has the same benefits as Extra but gives an opportunity for time-limited gamer trials and the catalog of PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, and VR2 video games.

If you’re just getting started as a new PlayStation Plus member, you can try it with the Essential subscription to receive two new video games each month, special discounts, and access to the multiplayer titles. But an Extra subscription could be the one with a recommendation, as it allows you to have the entire catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games available; plus, there is not really a big difference in price. Of course, a Premium subscription does it more, but it might be worth it for hardcore PlayStation gamers, who started their acquaintance with video games a long time ago when the original PlayStation console was released. Anyway, an Essential subscription will be a great way to start your PlayStation Plus adventure.
