"God of War (2018) & God of War: Ragnarok (Sony PlayStation) - Record-breaking Metacritic scores; $1.4b + combined sales"

It’s a really massive financial success for Sony, and no wonder the franchise is continuing to expand. At the latest PlayStation’s State of Play, two new God of War games were confirmed. One of them, God of War: Sons of Sparta, is already available for PlayStation 5 and tells the origin story of Kratos. Another title is God of War Trilogy Remake, which is still in the early stage of development.

It’s also rumored Santa Monica is working on another God of War title, set in Egypt, and Amazon is also developing a God of War TV series based on God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok. Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy) will play Kratos, and Callum Vinson (Chucky) is confirmed to play Atreus.
