Release Dates For Halo: Campaign Evolved and Gears of War: E-Day Revealed by Insider
Xbox and Microsoft have plenty of ambitious video games set to release in 2026, including Forza Horizon 6, Beast of Reincarnation, Fable, and so on. Although the studio hasn’t revealed the release date for all the titles, a new report gives an update on another two titles.
According to The Verge’s Tom Warren, Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to release this summer, while Gears of War: E-Day is likely to be released in the second half of 2026. At this time, these projects are not confirmed to have a launch date by Xbox/Microsoft, and the studio hasn’t given any comments after Tom Warren’s statements.

As we know, Halo: Campaign Evolved will release not only on PC and Xbox Series X/S but on PlayStation 5 too. It’s the remake of the original Halo video game, Halo: Combat Evolved, released back in 2001, that will feature only a single-player mode. As for Gears of War: E-Day, it’s a sixth installment in the Gears of War franchise, but the new game is taking place before the events of the original Gears of War, with Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago back as main characters.
