Sony Is Working on Horizon 3, But Release Will Not Happen Soon

Recently, Sony and Guerrilla have unveiled the new Horizon video game —Horizon Hunters Gathering—a co-op action video game set in the same universe as Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.

The new title will release for PC and PlayStation 5 and doesn’t have a release date yet. A lot of fans have speculated whether Guerrilla will release a third installment of Horizon, and according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreie r, the developers are fully concentrating on Horizon Hunters Gathers, and Horizon 3 is “still a long way off the launch.” Still, he clarifies the studio has started to work on the game, and it’s likely to be in the very early stage of development.

Previous rumors suggested Horizon 3 could be released in 2027, but considering the announcement of Horizon Hunters Gathering and Jason Schreier’s comments, it seems unlikely to happen?
