Heartopia Announces My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Collaboration Ahead of Valentine’s Day

Heartopia has officially announced a crossover with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, set to launch on February 14, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The cozy life simulation game has been gaining momentum since its release earlier this year, and this limited-time collaboration is expected to attract a new wave of players from the My Little Pony fan community.

The game first launched on mobile platforms on January 7 before arriving on Steam on January 16, where it quickly reached a peak of over 64,000 concurrent players. Developed and published by XD, Heartopia is described as a “multiplayer slow-life simulation,” offering a relaxed social experience with activities such as fishing, gardening, cooking, bug catching, bird watching, and obstacle courses. While the PC version currently holds mixed user reviews, many players note that the game still feels more optimized for mobile, with further improvements anticipated on Steam.

My Little Pony Event Begins February 14

The upcoming crossover brings elements from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, the animated series that originally aired from 2010 to 2019, into Heartopia’s world. According to a newly released trailer, the Tree of Harmony will arrive on Whale Island after being transported through a mysterious portal. Players, as members of Heartopia’s D.G. Guild, will be tasked with mastering the Elements of Harmony—honesty, kindness, laughter, generosity, loyalty, and magic—to help return the Tree of Harmony to Equestria.

Although not all details have been revealed, a pre-event update is already live. The crossover will include the Tree of Harmony Awakening questline, as well as additional activities such as the Little Pony Badge Collection. The trailer also confirms earlier leaks by showcasing special vehicles inspired by the Mane Six. Cars themed after Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash are expected to appear as high-tier gacha rewards. There are also rumors of a seventh Harmony-themed car for players who manage to collect all six, though this has not yet been officially confirmed.

Players will also gain access to a variety of Mane Six-inspired outfits and accessories. The trailer highlights multiple costume options for avatars, along with a special pet outfit based on Spike, Twilight Sparkle’s dragon companion. While Heartopia’s official website has not yet been updated with full crossover details, more information is expected as the event date approaches.

Early reactions to the collaboration have been highly positive. Many players have already picked out favorite costumes and vehicles from the trailer, and discussions around future collaborations are gaining traction. Among the most frequently requested franchises is Sanrio, suggesting strong interest in similar crossover events moving forward.
