Iconic Assassin’s Creed Developer Has Left Ubisoft
Although Ubisoft is planning the future of Assassin’s Creed game series, with Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced (the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag) set to release in the coming years, the franchise has just lost one of the most famous developers.
It’s been revealed that Jeffrey Yohalem has left Ubisoft, and he’s working for Blizzard Entertainment, according to his LinkedIn profile. Yohalem worked as a scriptwriter for the Assassin’s Creed trilogy dedicated to Ezio Auditore—Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. He also served as lead writer for Far Cry 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. His latest work at Ubisoft was Immortals Fenyx Rising; he worked as narrative director and lead writer.
His current position at Blizzard Entertainment remains unknown, though it is mentioned he joined the company in December 2025.
