Sledgehammer Games is well-known as a studio responsible for multiple Call of Duty titles, including Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. They also assisted Treyarch and Infinity Ward for more Call of Duty games, but now they’re looking to work on a brand-new installment.

According to the LinkedIn page of Ben Wanat, who previously worked at Sledgehammer Games, the studio is currently working on an unannounced action RPG video game. He’s been a senior creative director at Sledgehammer Games from 2019 to 2025, and, as you can see in the picture below, he wrote some requirements for the development of a mystery unannounced title.

For now, Sledgehammer Games didn’t confirm they’re developing a new action RPG video game, so this report must be considered with a grain of salt.
