As we know, the third season is officially in development, and it will focus more on Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever, rather than Ellie (Bella Ramsey). And now, Nexus Point News portal, with a reference to an HBO representative, reports Danny Ramirez, who played Mannie in The Last of Us season 2, will not return to the role in the third season and will be recast. The reason is actor’s scheduling conflict, but casting for the role is already happening.

The production of The Last of Us season 3 will begin next spring in Canada and will last until November. The release date is currently unknown.
