Red Dead Redemption 2 remains one of the biggest video games of the generation in terms of the game’s scale; the game was originally released in 2018 and still has a huge open world full of mind-blowing details.

However, there is maybe one thing in the game missed from the original Red Dead Redemption - an entire region, Mexico. This land plays a major role in John Marston’s story, and Rockstar initially planned to involve this region in RDR 2; however, it was ultimately cut, according to datamakers, because the scope was large and it was hard to make such a big map.

Some players really want to see Mexico in Red Dead Redemption 2, and they are currently working on a mod called Nuevo Paraiso - the Forgotten Frontier—that brings Mexico into the game. The first trailer of the mode you can see below:

The modders also said Nuevo Paraiso “recreates every town, settlement, and camp to the essence of Mexico, with new vegetation for each region, clean roads and trails, new locations, and immersive landscapes brought to life by the natural movements of its inhabitants as they go about their daily lives."

The mod is available to download, but it’s still in an unfinished stage, and the modders are actively working on its creation.
