Todd Howard Confirmed Fallout is Bethesda’s Priority Franchise at the Moment
As we now, Bethesda Studios are working hard on The Elder Scrolls VI, though release date and even game’s details remain unknown. It’s been also rumored studio are working on remastered versions for Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, and Todd Howard confirmed Fallout franchise is currently in priority for Bethesda.
Recently, Bethesda's boss spoke with IGN regarding the success of Fallout universe, thanks to TV series on Amazon, where he confirmed their focus to develop franchise more. Some of his words you can check below:
“We've had a long-term plan for Fallout, and so I wish I could talk about all those today. I'll just say this, it's the franchise that we're doing the most in right now. We had a plan for the games we were going to make. The TV show was part obviously of our Fallout plan as far as a franchise. And in a lot of ways, I view it as an entry, as a game entry. Games are one lens into the world, the TV show is another lens into the world.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t say anything about possible Fallout 5 game, but it’s likely to be released after The Elder Scrolls VI – so it won’t happen soon. As for now, Fallout fans might be satisfied as second season of Amazon series releasing soon (December 17) and Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas announcements could happen in the near future.
