New Control Game Officially Announced During The Game Awards 2025
A few weeks before The Game Awards, Remedy have registered a new trademark called Control Resonant that could have teased new game in the series. And who would have thought it will be the title for a new Control video game that just have been confirmed.
Remedy officially confirmed Control: Resonant during The Game Awards 2025 show. The game is a sequel to original game released in 2019 and set 7 years after. At this time, we will have a new character – Dylan Faden, the brother of Jesse from first title. Insider Shinobi602 also revealed some details:
- It’s Remedy’s biggest game so far;
- It’s not necessary to play the first game to understand the story, but still preferable; characters from the Control (2019) may return;
- Dylan is looking for his sister, Jesse;
- Players will be able to explore expansive zones across the city;
- The game will have melee weapons that can transforms into a bigger thing;
- Locations will become bigger, but the game doesn’t have an open world, focus on RPG elements;

Control: Resonant will release on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Release date remains unknown for now.
