Though it’s not confirmed officially, we already know that Leon S. Kennedy, an iconic Resident Evil character, will be in the game: recent leak has confirmed he will play a major role in story while the character also was spotted at PlayStation Store Cover – and he looks so much older that we used to see him. As we know, Resident Evil Requiem will appear at The Game Awards 2025 on December 11, where we expect Leon S. Kennedy will be officially confirmed to appear in newest title – perhaps we will see him (or tease) in a new trailer.

At the same time, insider Dusk Golem shared an interesting thought about why Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy are two main protagonists in Resident Evil Requiem. According to him, RE9 in fact is a soft reboot, and because it takes place in Raccoon City, Grace will act as a set of “fresh eyes to experience the horrors” while Leon will be someone “who experience the Raccoon City incident and who can see the before-and-after with long time fans, a “Returning Home to Roost” moment that a lot of horror media does very well, but Resident Evil never done before”.
