Resident Evil Requiem Story and Gameplay New Details Reportedly Leaked Online
Resident Evil Requiem, set to release next February, will definitely be one the scariest games of the franchise. We will also have a brand new character, Grace Ashcroft, but we also see some familiar faces.
There is a new "leak" of Resident Evil Requiem that comes from anonymous source and now posted on Reddit. This sort of imformation gives an update on some characters who set to appear or to be mentioned and also revealing some story and gameplay details.
According to this "leak", the mother of main protagonist, Alyssa Ashcroft, is the creation that we saw in the demo and she haunts for her daughter. After Alyssa's death in the prologue, her body will be taken by someone called Victor Yurichenko, who is one of the main villains of Requiem. Speaking of returning character, Leon Kennedy is confirmed to appear in the game and we will see him in two phases - he will look for Victor Yurichenko at first and saving Grace in the second. Surprisingly, Leon and Grace wil get a help from The Connections - international crime syndicate. Also, Resident Evil Requiem will include others characters from previous games - Yoko Suzuki and Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine and Sherry Birkin will be mentioned.
Considering some gameplay details, Resident Evil Requiem will offer boss fights, probably, in the way it was in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village; there are 6 bosses in the game, and three of them will be faced by Leon and other three - by Grace. We will also see some upgraded mutations of well-known creations, like Lickers, G-Types and Drain Deimus. Speaking of mutations, there is a new virus in the game called Elanthropus; it appears thanks to the Victor Yurichenko's researches and it maintains the host's consciousness in nfected individuals, causing exaggerated transformation in others. At last, it is said the game will have a duration of 18 hours (campaign) and also provide extra mode similar to mercenaries.
It's important to say that all of this information is not confirmed officially so should be considered with a grain of salt.
